Welcome to Headroom ("we," "our," or "us"). These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, mobile application, and video captioning services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.
Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, accessing, or using our Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are entering into these Terms on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind such entity to these Terms.

You must be at least 18 years old to use our Service or have parental consent if under 18.
Description of Service
What We Provide
Headroom is an AI-powered video captioning service that helps creators add professional-quality captions and subtitles to their videos. Our Service includes:
- • Automatic speech-to-text transcription
- • Hinglish caption generation and styling
- • Multiple export resolutions (1080p, 2K and 4K depending on your plan)
- • Custom caption themes and styling options
- • Real-time caption editing and customization
Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability of our Service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.
Service Availability and Client Work
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Headroom does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, successful processing or export, any particular completion time, meeting any deadline, or suitability for a particular business requirement.
Before relying on Headroom for client delivery, publishing, campaigns, or deadlines, you must verify that your video has successfully exported, that you can access the exported file, and that the output meets your requirements. Allow time to review the output and arrange alternatives where needed.
This clause does not limit your statutory consumer rights or any refund or other remedy available under applicable law or our Refund Policy.
User Obligations
Permitted Use
- • Use the Service for personal or commercial content creation
- • Upload videos you own or have rights to use
- • Share generated captions on social media platforms
- • Provide feedback to help improve our Service
Prohibited Activities
- • Upload copyrighted content without permission
- • Use the Service for illegal or harmful purposes
- • Attempt to reverse engineer or copy our technology
- • Distribute malware or engage in fraudulent activities
Payment Terms
Pricing and Billing
- • Current plans, prices, free allowances, and included features are described on our pricing page. Review the applicable price, billing interval, and renewal terms shown at checkout before purchasing.
- • One-time purchases (Week Pass, minute packs, prepaid annual plans) do not auto-renew
- • Cancel anytime - that's our trust philosophy
- • All payments are processed securely through third-party providers
- • Subscription automatically renews unless cancelled
Refunds and Cancellations
Refund eligibility, conditions, and cancellation procedures are set out in our Cancellations and Refunds Policy, which forms part of these Terms. That policy governs refunds and cancellations if there is any inconsistency with these Terms, subject always to applicable law and statutory consumer rights. You may cancel your subscription at any time, and it will remain active until the end of your billing period.
Intellectual Property
Your Content
You retain ownership of all videos, content, and materials you upload to our Service. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process and analyze it for providing our captioning services.
Our Technology
All rights, title, and interest in our technology, algorithms, software, and Service remain with us. You may not copy, modify, or reverse engineer any part of our Service.
Generated Captions
You own the captions generated from your content and may use them commercially. However, the underlying AI technology and processing methods remain our intellectual property.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Headroom shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with the Service, including loss of revenue, profits, clients or customers, contracts, business opportunities, goodwill, use, or data, and losses resulting from missed deadlines, publication delays, or client-delivery failures.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited. Nothing in these Terms removes or restricts statutory consumer rights or remedies, including any right to a refund under applicable law.
Service Limitations
While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee 100% accuracy of generated captions. AI technology has limitations and may produce errors.
Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these Terms or engage in prohibited activities.
Upon termination, we will delete your account data within 30 days, except as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through our Service. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
This revision applies only prospectively after publication and any notice or acceptance required by applicable law. It does not change the terms applicable to earlier purchases or events, or affect accrued rights or claims. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically to stay informed about our practices.
